The 2019 - 2020 school year will be my 16th year as a Learning Specialist at Mt. Washington Elementary. Prior to that, I taught in Hardin County.
I have been married to my husband, Todd for 23 years. He teaches business for JCPS at E - school.. We have two sons, Zach – 19 and Aaron – 14. Zach will be a sophomore at Western Kentucky University this year and Aaron will be a freshman at Trinity High School. We live in Louisville, and keep busy with the boys’ activities and spending time with our two Golden Retriever - Penny and Ruby.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education/Special Education from the University of Kentucky in 1990. For my Master’s degree in Special Education, I attended the University of Louisville - receiving my degree in 1995.
I work with students in all grade levels; it varies from year to year. I work with some students in their homeroom classes (co-teaching), while other students may need more individual or small group assistance in my resource class.
I am the faculty sponsor of WKNN (the student run broadcast), Safety Patrol, GOTR Coach and a member of our school ABRI Team and Climate Committee. This year I will also be helping Mrs. Franklin with the Tribal Trust Bank and Trading Post :)
You may contact me @ 869-3000 or by email at Mary Beth Raque
My planning time is currently _________ Monday thru Friday, however, this is subject to change. I am available for conferences – phone or in person – during this time.
